Data visualisation technology provider AstroNova has released a new narrow-web digital flexible packaging press TrojanLabel T2-L.
TrojanLabel T2-L is suitable for short-run and high-volume digital printing and assists brand owners, manufacturers and commercial printers in growing their business.
The machine uses Natura inks for high-quality flexible packaging applications such as food labels.
AstroNova is providing customers with a chance to view and test the new T2-L machine at Pack Expo Las Vegas and Labelexpo Europe 2019. The conferences will be held on 23-25 September and 24-27 September respectively.
AstroNova president and CEO Greg Woods said: “Our T2-L plays directly into strong secular trends, driving the growth of the flexible packaging industry, including increased urbanisation, a greater consumer focus on sustainability and the growth of e-commerce.
“Our technology helps to create lightweight, durable packaging that reduces waste, lowers transportation costs and is safer for the environment.”
AstroNova has partnered with digital print substrates manufacturer Sihl to offer the latter’s ARTYSIO brand packaging products with its T2-L printer and develop new flexible packaging materials.
Woods added: “Its high-quality, recyclable, flexible packaging materials make Sihl a perfect partner for AstroNova in providing a total solution that is environmentally friendly, food-friendly and sustainable.
“We are proud to partner with Sihl on this initiative, offering our customers what we believe will be the flexible packaging solution with the highest return on investment in the industry.”
AstroNova offers various hardware and software products and associated supplies under its Product Identification segment.
The segment features two business units, including QuickLabel for tabletop digital colour label-printing and TrojanLabel for professional label presses and speciality printers.
