Plastic tube manufacturer CTL Packaging has announced plans to open a $58.5m tube manufacturing plant in Gaston County, North Carolina, US.

Construction on the 226,000ft² plant is expected to start in early 2012, and production is scheduled to commence by September 2012.

CTL Packaging is a subsidiary of CTL TH, which has manufacturing facilities in Spain and France. Its plastic tubes are used in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and personal care industries worldwide.
