Voith has received an order from BillerudKorsnäs, a sustainable packaging solution provider, for a new XcelLine board machine to be installed at the latter’s 550,000t capacity plant in Gruvön, Sweden.
To be commissioned in 2019, the machine produces liquid packaging, carton and food service boards.

Under the order, Voith will also receive a Duo DII hybrid former system, a Tandem NipcoFlex shoe press with a SolarPress roll cover and drying section, multiple coating and calendaring stations, and a VariFlex L winding unit.
Furthermore, it will supply a Papermaking 4.0 digital solution, which provides full online control of the production line’s process data.
