UK-based DS Smith Plastics has invested in its injection moulding plant in Bilzen-Belgium.

As part of the €2.6m investment, four new production lines have been added to the facility.

The newly installed injection moulding machines, which include in-mould labelling robots, are 40% more energy-efficient than before.

In addition, a new internal raw materials supply system and a new plant layout have been implemented as part of the recent investment.

Increasing the plant’s production capacity by around 50%, the recently made investment has also enabled DS Smith Plastics to expand its presence in the injection moulding products market.

Furthermore, the investment has created eight new jobs at the Bilzen plant.
