US-based science and engineering solutions provider DuPont Advanced Printing (DuPont) has unveiled a new digital plate, Cyrel Easy EPC, for use in post-print corrugated printers.

Part of DuPont’s Cyre Easy plate portfolio, the new plate has a built-in flat top dot.

The new Cyrel Easy EPC produces high-quality images and reduces the fluting effect for printing on different types of corrugated boards.

"Customers are simplifying their plate making workflow and seeing improved print results."

Using the plate, corrugated printers will provide enhanced consistency, exposure resolution, ink transfer and printing uniformity.

Cyrel Easy EPC will also improve the productivity of corrugated printers.

DuPont Advanced Printing North America corrugated segment manager Bob Hannum said: “We’re excited to extend our Cyrel EASY plate portfolio to include Cyrel EASY EPC for corrugated trade shops and printers.

“Customers are simplifying their plate making workflow and seeing improved print results, particularly, a reduction in fluting.”

With the new product, the company intends to enhance quality, sustainability and productivity for the flexographic printing sector.

In May, DuPont announced that it would launch a new system, Cyrel Fast 2000TD, for flexible packaging and tag and label applications.

Developed under the company’s Fast processor portfolio, the system incorporates various tools and technologies that delivers improved plate quality and serviceability.
