Luxembourg-based Flint Group has completed acquiring digital solutions provider Xeikon, which serves packaging and commercial printing markets.

An innovator in digital-printing technology, Xeikon offers solutions for labels and packaging applications, and document and commercial printing.

The acquired entity will function under a new Flint Group division, which will be termed as the Flint Group Digital Printing Solutions, the company said.

"Our respective management teams believe this deal will result in significant opportunity for both companies."

The deal is expected to help Flint Group in expanding its conventional and digital printing solutions offerings, as well as reach out across global markets.

Flint Group CEO Antoine Fady said: "Our respective management teams believe this deal will result in significant opportunity for both companies.

"In addition to our complementary product ranges, we also share a common goal of delivering exceptional value, unparallelled service, consistent quality and continuous innovation.
