Global packaging equipment provider Sidel has opened a new office in Wroclaw, Poland, to provide enhanced services to its Central and Eastern European customers.
The new Wroclaw site will also enable Sidel to provide more tailored solutions, technology, services and expertise to local producers.
Covering an area of 500m², the newly opened site accommodates 25 of the company's sales, field services, information technology (IT) and finance employees.
Sidel DACH, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS sales director Pawel Warszawski said: “We are always looking to improve our offering to customers.
“This move to bigger premises will provide many benefits, including the opportunity to offer an even better support service.
"We are looking forward to maintaining our high standards while accelerating our growth in Poland and throughout Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
“Europe and Central Asia proved to be one of several regions in which we over-achieved order intake growth in 2016 and the relocation to this new facility provides an excellent foundation to develop our capabilities even further.”
Sidel’s new Wroclaw site will offer the company's latest packaging innovations and equipment, as well as the Sidel Services Onlinetool, a web interface allowing the company's spare parts to be ordered online.
Furthermore, Poland’s current packaging market is estimated to witness a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.4% for drinks bottled in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) from 2016 to 2020.
