The plans include the expansion of an existing coating line and a new slitter for a fully automated packing line. In the next few years, the company intends to double up the workforce in the UK.

Frimpeks UK managing director Dave Casey said: "This announcement underlines Frimpeks commitment to following through on its five-year plan.

"The site expansion and new plant will increase capacity and follows a similar investment at our sister plant in Remscheid Germany.

The hot melt coating capability will provide the flexibility and capacity our growing customer base demand and will give us a basis to continue our growth plans and serve the European market."
