Italy-based Toscotec has installed a PM1 machine to produce container board at Rossmann Group’s Papeterie Sical facility located in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France.

Featuring a web width of 2.570mm and a design speed of 500m/min, the machine is capable of manufacturing container board grades as brown test liners offering 100 to 220g/m².

The newly installed machine has a capacity of 45,000t per annum.

Its press section and related parts have been modified to enhance the liner's top side printability, as well as the operation of the Papeterie Sical site.

With the modifications, the machine is now producing the targeted container board products quality.

The performance improvement project also included a new TT Combi-Press with a tailored TT Pick-up press roll, new press rolls with related cleaning doctors.

Rossmann Group, with a box plants production capacity of 500.000t per year, provides printed packaging solutions to customers in Europe and Africa.

Last month, Celupaper started up a new PM3 tissue machine, provided by Toscotec, at its Papelera Nicaragua mill in Argentina.
