US-based labelling and packaging materials company Avery Dennison has reached an agreement to acquire Hanita Coatings for $75m.

Based in Israel, the target company makes specialty films and laminates from pressure-sensitive materials.

UK-based corrugated packaging group DS Smith has reached an agreement to acquire Parish Manufacturing, a US bag-in-box systems manufacturer for liquids.

The acquisition is expected to complement DS Smith’s Rapak brand of flexible packaging and liquid dispensing product offerings.

The acquisition is set to be completed in the first quarter of 2017, with the financial details having not yet been disclosed.
