Massman Automation Designs, a packaging solutions company based in the US, has acquired EDL Packaging Engineers, which produces wrapping and other equipment for a number of industries including food, dairy, personal care, carpet and contract packaging.
The acquisition will expand and complement the acquirer company’s expertise in case packing and end-of-line packaging solutions.

Klöckner Pentaplast, a company based in Germany, has completed the acquisition of Farmamak, a rigid plastic film and packaging solutions provider based in Turkey, for $46.1m making the latter a subsidiary of the former.
The acquisition is expected to help Klöckner Pentaplast enter new markets and segments.
