Global healthcare packaging provider Nelipak has opened a technical development centre in Singapore to serve its Asia-Pacific clients.
The centre combines expertise in both flexible and rigid sterile barrier packaging, bringing together design and innovation functions in one site, according to a statement from the company.

This move represents part of Nelipak’s wider global expansion and establishes a dedicated technical site in Southeast Asia.
The new centre will support companies across Southeast Asia, India, Australia, and New Zealand.
It is intended to work alongside Nelipak’s international manufacturing and innovation teams so that solutions developed in the Asia-Pacific can be adapted for wider use and produced at scale.
The facility aims to help medical device and pharmaceutical firms develop and validate sterile packaging systems more efficiently.

It also supports compliance with ISO 11607 standards for medical packaging and is equipped to support devices across various regulatory classes.
Nelipak CEO Pat Chambliss said: “The Asia-Pacific is an important and growing region for global medical device innovation, manufacturing, and consumption.
“Our new Asia-Pacific Technical Development Center, located in Singapore, represents a foundational investment that supports our global customer base while anchoring Nelipak firmly in the Asia-Pacific region.
“It reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring customer access to our broad range of flexible and rigid sterile barrier packaging solutions, which are widely used globally and have been used extensively in the region for over 30 years.”
In December 2025, Nelipak expanded its presence by acquiring Merrill’s Packaging, a company specialising in custom thermoformed packaging for the medical device, pharmaceutical, life science, and other technical markets.
