Dutch packaging firm Novio Packaging Group has completed the acquisition of German-Swiss packaging company Flacopac/Deflaco.
The transaction boosts Novio Packaging’s presence in the industry and strengthens the group’s market share in Europe. It will also expand the range of services and products offered by the group.

Flacopac is based in Deizisau, Germany, and Deflaco is the sister company of Flacopac based in Thalwil, Switzerland.
Flacopac/Deflaco collaboratively develops a range of packaging systems in glass and plastic such as the Quickbrush system for nail polish and Moduli roll-on units. It also offers tubular glass and sampling services.
Novio Packaging Group managing directors Marck Jansen and Erik Trum said: “These acquisitions allow us to combine our strengths to create a broader product offer, particularly in the cosmetics and perfume sectors.
“Furthermore, the addition of strong markets such as Germany and Switzerland to our sales region will allow us to consolidate and further strengthen our position in Europe.

Flacopac and Deflaco will also continue to operate from the existing sites under their banners.
Flacopac/Deflaco founder Jürgen Schmidt will remain as a consultant for both companies while Hans-Jürgen Schmidt serves as the managing director of Flacopac. Melanie von Escher will continue to manage Deflaco.
Last year, Novio Packaging has expanded its sales channels and customer base in Europe through the acquisition of Haal Verpakkingen and Scandinavian Packaging.
