Sanner is set to launch the new AdPack product family for protection of moisture-sensitive pharmaceuticals at the forthcoming CPhI Worldwide exhibition in Paris, France.
The AdPack family includes desiccant pillow packs that are filled into the packaging along with the tablets and capsules to protect them against moisture.

Available as single strips or on reel depending on the type of machine, the pillow packs are made of tear-resistant, non-dusting, lint-free Tyvek material and ensure long-term adsorption of moisture and odours.
The highly permeable pillow packs take up little space within a package and can be easily distinguished from capsules or tablets due to their distinct shape, preventing accidental ingestion.

By GlobalDataAdPack is compatible with standard semi- and fully automated dispensing equipment and filling lines to help maximise flexibility for customers, and also has a punch hole in the sealing seam, which ensures a clean pack separation during the dispensing process.
The suite complies with all relevant European and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations for contact with food and drugs, and is also listed in a Type III Drug Master File (DMF).
Sanner will also showcase the AdCap desiccant capsules, which absorb moisture through a cardboard disc on the top and through a unique grid structure on the side of the capsule, ensuring moisture adsorption after filling, even when the capsule is lying on the cardboard side.
CPhI Worldwide is scheduled to take place on 7-9 October 2014.
