Finnish pulp and paper manufacturer Stora Enso is set to launch a new packaging board grade suitable for cosmetics and beauty care packaging use.

The Performa White packaging board grade from the Performa carton board product family has improved smoothness, increased strength and an better visual appearance, the company claims.

The board will be available to customers in the fourth quarter of 2011.

According to the company, the Performa boards have odour and taint neutrality and are therefore also suitable for chocolate and confectionery packaging.
