UK-based Collcap Group has merged with Spanish packaging manufacturer Quadpack Industries in order to become a major player in Europe’s beauty packaging industry.
The merged entity will continue to operate under the Quadpack brand name while using Collcap’s office in Leek, Staffordshire, to manage its UK operations.

Quadpack’s office in Barcelona, Spain, will serve as global headquarters for the newly merged group, while Collcap’s founder John McDermott has become a board member of Quadpack Industries.
McDermott said: “Both Collcap and Quadpack are healthy, thriving companies which, together, boast increased market share, resources and purchasing power, and competitive edge.
“Add to that our strengths in market knowledge, product development, creativity and technical expertise, and you have a winning formula.”
The combined entity will benefit from Collcap’s expertise in glass containers and plastic tubes, as well as its sourcing operations in Asia.

Quadpack Industries CEO Tim Eaves said: “Collcap and Quadpack have had a long-standing relationship of mutual respect. Our values, our mentality, our structure, our processes – they all coincide.

Earlier in 2016, the company purchased injection-moulding company Rinaplast, now rebranded Quadpack Plastics, as part of its growth strategy.
