UK-based corrugated packaging provider Cepac has introduced CorSoft, its new cushioned corrugated solution, across the country.

The new soft-lined product has been designed to protect packed items during transportation.

Developed at the company’s plant in Rawcliffe, UK, CorSoft has a soft lining, which is non-abrasive, light, recyclable, and oil and water-resistant.

Designed for use without the support of a secondary barrier, the new product is suitable for packaging in the  furniture, heating and automotive sectors.

Cepac said that it had used a high-quality tissue liner bonded with a non-woven low-density polyethylene (LDPE) surface to produce CorSoft.

"Our flexible manufacturing operation and the investment in technology has allowed us to bring CorSoft to market."

Cepac Rawcliffe sales director David Hainsworth said: “Our flexible manufacturing operation and the investment in technology has allowed us to bring CorSoft to market.

“It’s useful for any situation where you need to transport a highly polished or finished surface and the opportunities are endless.

"With CorSoft, it’s not just the packaging that we’re offering; we’ve got a great team of designers in our business and they create full design prototypes keeping the full process in-house. Everything is built around the product.”

Part of the Cepac’s specialty products portfolio, CorSoft is said to help reduce labour costs and offer environmental benefits.

Cepac, which is owned by HSA Group, aims to provide new alternatives to conventional corrugated packaging.
