US-based packaging and paper supplies distributor Joshen Paper & Packaging has installed Vormittag Associates’ (VAI) Suggested Purchasing solution to improve its operations.

Part of VAI’s S2K suite, Suggested Purchasing has enabled Joshen to manage overheads and reduce its inventory by more than 20%.

So far, Suggested Purchasing has helped six buyers in Joshen's corporate headquarters to buy for all their locations across 11 states in the US.

"By centralising our buying to the corporate headquarters, we were able to make fast, accurate purchasing decisions with streamlined communication."

Joshen Paper & Packaging CIO Doug Trisnar said: “By centralising our buying to the corporate headquarters, we were able to make fast, accurate purchasing decisions with streamlined communication.

“Looking at our balance sheet, the ROI gained by reduced inventory and lowered cost of goods is evident, and it’s helped Joshen maintain two decades of expansion.”

Established in 1988, the company first installed VAI’s ERP solution suite mainly to help its sales force and customers with powerful technology that could streamline their operations.

VAI currently provides ERP software to automate vital business functions for the distribution, manufacturing, specialty retail and service sectors.

In May, the company provided its S2K Sales Force solution to Waytek, a distributor of electrical wiring supplies, connectors and relays.

With the new S2K Enterprise-compatible solution, Waytek aims to increase its return on investment and streamline its processes.
