Sustainable packaging solution provider Ventiv Design has launched an anti-counterfeit and personalised packaging line for the nascent cannabis industry.
The New York City-based company developed distinctive packaging made of sustainably-sourced materials, such as a hemp paper-made Slider Box designed for vapes and pre-rolls.

The company also launched Pinch Pump for topical lotions. It is manufactured from post-consumer recycled plastic materials.
Ventiv leverages material, including glass, plastic, paper, and tin, which is recyclable by single-stream recycling utilities. The hemp and molded sugarcane can be composted.
Ventiv’s products can be diverted from landfills, thereby minimising carbon footprint and lifecycle costs.
The new packaging line, according to the company, will address the challenge in the marijuana industry with counterfeit products mimicking major brands including Kingpen, Brass Knuckles, and Heavy Hitters.

Ventiv has executed a two-fold anti-piracy strategy, including the use of patent-pending portfolio of child-resistant packaging, as well as the focuses on efficient material selection such as hemp, sugarcane, and 100% recycled plastics to further check counterfeit.
