China has launched a national action plan to reform solid waste management, setting new targets for packaging waste, recycling and circular economy compliance.
The new inks are developed to provide a stable, smooth white base on shrink-sleeve packaging without cracking or flaking.
The collaboration combines Polytag’s detection technology, Saica’s packaging capabilities, and Paragon UV ink formulations.
Packaging described as recyclable is often assessed in theory rather than in the conditions where it is actually disposed of.
The company confirmed that around 40 jobs could be lost as it modernises its operations.
