Amcor has introduced a range of rigid and flexible packaging options aimed at meeting varied needs across the de-icing industry.

The company is providing containers, trigger sprays, and bags in multiple sizes and designs, intended to address diverse product requirements within the sector.

The company noted that these solutions are developed with sustainability considerations.

Within its rigid packaging selection, Amcor now supplies rectangular containers, jerry cans, and trigger spray bottles.

Rectangular containers are available using up to 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, with features such as a resealable lid for secure storage, a carry handle for convenience, and a design that allows efficient stacking.

The jerry can is suitable for chemical contents, offering a closure system that aims to prevent splashing and control dispensing.

It includes a locking mechanism for safe transport and can be produced with up to 50% recycled material. This container may also serve as a refill option for larger packs.

Trigger spray bottles are made entirely of plastic components, including the spring, which avoids corrosion and simplifies recycling.

Various nozzle and closure configurations are available, and these bottles can contain up to 50% recycled plastic.

For flexible packaging needs, Amcor provides bags compatible with standard vertical form fill seal (VFFS) and form fill seal (FFS) machines for products ranging from 1kg to 25kg.

These bags offer moisture protection to help maintain product quality, along with resistance to tearing and puncturing. Flexible structures in this range are designed to be recyclable and can include up to 50% recycled content.

Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions International product line director Katrina Burrett said: “We are seeing several different types of de-icing products on the market, and this is why it is important to provide the widest range of practical and functional pack solutions to help companies maximise opportunities in the sector.

“Our wide-ranging solutions for the de-icing market are a perfect example of how our global reach and extensive technical capabilities can support the diverse packaging requirements of companies of all sizes.”

Earlier this month, Amcor commissioned Greenback Recycling Technologies’ Enval advanced recycling unit at its facility in Heanor, Derbyshire, UK.
