Baralan introduces updated glass airless packaging

The new version centres on a soda-lime glass barrel manufactured in Europe.

Cosmetic packaging company Baralan has introduced DEA 2.0, the next iteration of its glass airless packaging solution for cosmetics.

The new version centres on a soda-lime glass barrel manufactured in Europe.

According to the company, this type of glass offers broad compatibility with skincare formulations and can be integrated into standard recycling systems, which differs from borosilicate glass that necessitates separate recycling processes.

DEA 2.0 is available in 15ml and 30ml sizes.

According to Baralan, it is intended for use with high-performance skincare products and brands seeking a refined airless packaging method.

This update follows the company’s rollout of an invisible piston modification late last year.

Baralan noted that these developments fit into its approach of gradual innovation across technology, design, and environmental considerations.

In addition to the new offering, Baralan continues to supply borosilicate glass options, which are intended for uses requiring increased durability and chemical resistance.

The DEA platform features options aimed at precise dispensing and formula protection, and it is available in a cylindrical shape with various pump types to suit differing product needs.

Baralan said that the introduction of DEA 2.0 is part of its preparations for future Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requirements, and that it is adapting product development to align with anticipated regulatory changes.
