Coveris is set to unveil its latest advancements in sustainable packaging at the FachPack 2025 exhibition, scheduled for 23-25 September in Nuremberg, Germany.

The company will showcase a diverse array of packaging solutions, including films, labels, cartons, and paper-based products, all designed to support its No Waste vision.

These products cater to various sectors, including food and beverage and logistics.

Among the featured products is SleeveFlexR Stretch, a sustainable sleeve solution that incorporates recycled content of 35%, 50%, or 75%.

This product is said to serve as a cost-effective alternative to traditional shrink sleeves and is produced using recyclates from Coveris' ReCover de-inking and recycling facility, promoting a closed-loop model.

Coveris will also showcase the FilmLiteR Stretch, a fully recyclable pallet transportation film containing over 30% recycled material. It is designed for stability and protection during the transport of beverages.

This film is manufactured using 100% renewable energy and employs a heatless application process to reduce carbon emissions.

In the food packaging sector, Coveris will unveil its BarrierFresh MAP tray solution, which reduces plastic usage by 90% while ensuring recyclability and maintaining shelf life for meat, fish, and poultry products.

This solution combines sustainably sourced board with a specially developed ethylene vinyl alcohol barrier film, resulting in a hermetically sealed, fully printable pack.

Another product on display will be MonoFlexBP, a thermoformable base web paired with a resealable lidding film for meat and cheese packaging, offering high oxygen barrier properties and resealing capabilities.

Coveris will also showcase its Ultra-Low SIT CPP lamination films, designed for high-speed form-fill-seal packaging across various sectors, including food and personal care.

These films provide optimised sealing strength at 85°C and are available in both transparent and white options, with thicknesses ranging from 30μm to 100μm.

Furthermore, MonoFlexFibre Pure Max, a monomaterial paper-based substrate for cereal and protein bars, will be presented at the event.

Last month, Coveris invested an additional £1m ($1.34m) in its Linerless Labelling Centre of Excellence in Spalding, England, to address increasing demand.
