Lappí Labels and Flexible Packaging has purchased Portuguese flexible packaging provider Alempack.

The deal broadens the buyer’s manufacturing reach and product portfolio across the Iberian market.

Through the acquisition, Lappí adds industrial capacity in doypack and flowpack, formats regarded to be ideal for fast-moving consumer goods.

The move also extends the company’s industrial base in Iberia and is said to deliver a 15% growth.

Alempack will be integrated into Lappí while continuing under its existing management team, and retaining its technical, commercial and industrial expertise.

The Portuguese company contributes specialist knowledge in doypack, flowpack, high-barrier packaging, reel-fed films, shrink bags, vacuum bags and other flexible packaging formats.

Those capabilities add to Lappí’s existing range in labels, sleeves, wraparound labels and flexible packaging while reinforcing its presence in sectors, including beverages, cosmetics, food, home care, hygiene, personal care, and pet food.

Supported by private equity company Diana Capital, Lappí is targeting estimated organic sales of €65m ($74m) in 2026.

With the addition of Alempack, estimated combined sales are expected to exceed €70m ($79.7m).

Upon the acquisition, Lappí now operates as a group of six companies with seven production sites across the Iberian Peninsula.

Alempack employs over 40 people and its addition lifts the group’s workforce from 350 employees to more than 390.

The deal also expands Lappí’s industrial space, increasing total production facilities in Spain and Portugal from 51,000m² to around 60,000m².
