ProSys Fill has introduced automatic systems for filling and sealing 10.5oz, 14oz, and 30oz cartridges made from fibre or plastic, according to a press release posted on WhatTheyThink.

The in-line range uses horizontal loading and unloading as standard, with a vertical option also available.

It includes volumetric metering and a cartridge lift arrangement intended to deliver a vertical, bottom-up fill without air.

The three-head filling and closing configuration is designed to raise output and improve line flexibility.

Models in the range can process up to 110 cartridges a minute.

The systems can be used with different cartridge formats and are suitable for plastic, metal, and fibre cartridge materials.

They are also designed to handle products with viscosities of up to three million centipoise (cps).

ProSys Fill said the equipment provides filling accuracy of ±0.1% by volume, with the aim of limiting product loss.

A high-speed servo motor is used for vertical bottom-up filling to support precise, air-free operation.

The line can be fitted with either a standard reject mechanism or an optional downstream check-weighing system so that cartridges filled to the required level can continue through production.

Other features include plunger insertion and an air-release function intended to avoid trapped air and preserve product condition.

The machines are constructed from stainless steel to support cleaning and service life.

Optional explosion-proof controls are available for hazardous settings.

The company also offers optional colour and additive mixing components, alongside turnkey and custom-built configurations for particular production requirements.
