Schubert North America is building a new headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, to support its operations in the US and Canada.

Set on a 7.36-acre site, the 45,000ft² building is intended to house customer training, engineering, sales and service, as well as final assembly work for Schubert packaging machinery.

The site has been planned to strengthen customer support and to allow for later expansion.

After completion, customers will be able to carry out final machine acceptance testing, operator training and service-related activities in Charlotte instead of travelling overseas.

The headquarters has been planned under Schubert’s global Mission Blue sustainability programme and includes features linked to LEED [Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design] standards.

The energy-saving design is part of its wider sustainability approach and will provide a collaborative workplace for staff and customers.

Alongside additional office space, the site will contain final assembly and commissioning areas for Schubert packaging machines, a dedicated service workshop, customer training space, and engineering, sales and technical support functions.

It has also been designed with room for future growth in line with customer demand in North America.

Construction work on the new headquarters was led by CoxSchepp Construction, a Charlotte-based firm with experience in commercial developments across the Southeast.

Schubert has had its North American headquarters in Charlotte since 2015. The company has grown during that period as demand increased for flexible and automated packaging systems.

Schubert North America plans to hold an opening in early 2027.

Schubert North America CEO Hartmut Siegel said:"North America continues to be one of Schubert's most important growth markets.

"Our new headquarters allows us to be even closer to our customers while expanding our capabilities for machine assembly, commissioning, service, and training. This investment reinforces our long-term commitment to supporting manufacturers throughout North America."
