US-based custom packaging manufacturer Ultimate Paper Box (UPBX) is expanding its pressroom capacities with the installation of a new seven-colour, 57in KBA Rapida 145 press, along with an array of automated KBA technology.

The latest equipment marks the third large-format press purchased by Ultimate Paper Box from KBA.

UPBX currently uses a KBA Rapida 162a 64in six-colour press with coater, which is claimed to have enhanced its production capacity by 40%, reported whattheythink.com.

The new Rapida 145 57in press has replaced KBA Rapida 142 56in press with UV.

Ultimate Paper Box owner Janak Patel was quoted by the website as saying: "Our decision to add another large-format KBA press, a 57 Rapida 145 press, helps us to deliver sophisticated packaging jobs for the high-end packaging market and to separate us from our competitors while bringing additional value-added services to our existing customer base.
