Packaging machinery company Sontex has launched its latest skin packaging systems, the Skin 5035 and Skin 5070 packers.

These new offerings are engineered to deliver better product visibility and robust packaging for secure transportation, as per information posted on ABNewswire.

The Skin 5035 model is for smaller items and can accommodate products up to 100mm in height and uses a board size of 495 x 345mm.

The machine is equipped with an automatic film cutter, a board ejection system for increased productivity, and a light curtain-guarded cycle operation for heightened safety.

The aspirator vacuum pump is claimed to be oil-free and offers low-maintenance, reported Sontex.

This packer can handle materials such as Surlyn film and corrugated board, while it has the option to customise with features like Euroslot punching and choices between manual or automated board cutting.

A Sontex representative said: “One of the standout features of the Skin 5035 is its ease of use. It offers businesses a straightforward, highly efficient way to enhance their product packaging without extensive manual labour.”

Sontex’s Skin 5070 packer is designed for larger items and industrial applications.

This machine can manage products with a height of up to 150mm and utilises a larger board size of 495 x 695mm.

It shares the oil-free vacuum pump feature of its smaller counterpart and includes a fully enclosed heater panel along with safety guards for dependable operation.

Compatible with polythene-based films and corrugated boards, it is designed for effective transit packaging.

The integration of the CUT 600 roller press allows for automated Euroslot and board cutting, enhancing the machine’s functionality.

“Businesses looking to package larger or more delicate items need a reliable, professional-grade solution. The Skin 5070 is built to handle a variety of packaging needs with precision and ease,” the Sontex representative added.

To assist businesses in evaluating their packaging options, Sontex provides sample skin packs that work with both the Skin 5035 and Skin 5070 systems.

“We understand that shrink packaging needs vary across industries. That’s why we offer sample packs, custom board cutting, and connections to trusted print partners like Glossop Cartons, ensuring that our customers get a fully tailored solution,” the representative noted.
