US-based custom rotational moulding company Elkhart Plastics has expanded its TUFF product line with the launch of the E-Series, a new durable and sustainable intermediate bulk container (IBC).

The IBC is engineered for the protection of liquids during storage, transportation, and dispensing.

The TUFF E-Series product line is manufactured at the company’s facility in Indiana, US, and aims to assist businesses in managing regulated and nonregulated liquid materials efficiently.

The E-Series stands out as a reusable and cost-effective alternative to traditional limited-use IBCs, which often contribute to excessive packaging waste and ongoing expenses, the company said.

The TUFF E-Series features a rotomoulded base that is tough and impact-resistant, offering enhanced protection against rigorous use and helping to minimise replacement costs.

This base design also aids in reducing product loss and waste by enabling 99.9% drainage.

Additionally, the E-Series has the TUFF LinQ Outlet Valve Connection, which is reportedly 30% stronger when tested against comparable brands. The valve connection includes an integrated male cam-lock fitting with a dust cap, designed to protect against leaks and reduce downtime.

The latest E-Series IBC provides a reliable solution for industries such as chemical manufacturing, waste management, and water treatment.

Myers Industries sales vice-president Cullen Jones said: “The new E-Series builds on the proven strengths of our TUFF line and gives customers a smarter way to protect, handle, and store liquid materials.

“It also reflects our commitment to innovation and quality. Reusable, environmentally responsible, and economically viable, the E-Series cuts waste, lowers costs, and delivers long-term value – setting a new standard for IBC performance in liquid handling.”
