Lactasoy’s newly established brand, Benefitt, has launched a high-protein UHT milk in Thailand, marking what the company states is the first such product available in the country.
The Benefitt High Protein UHT Milk comes in 350ml SIG SmallBloc cartons and is being distributed nationwide through 7-Eleven stores.

The product contains 31g of protein per 350ml serving.
SIG noted that Thai consumers seeking high-protein milk options have so far mainly encountered pasteurised products that require refrigeration and have a limited shelf life.
The new UHT milk uses aseptic processing and packaging, which allows it to be stored at room temperature and extends its usability period.
SIG Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia regional director Vatcharapong Ungsrisawasdi said: “This launch shows how flexible aseptic filling technology can open new opportunities and help customers innovate and expand into new categories efficiently.

By GlobalData“By working closely with Lactasoy, we’ve supported the successful introduction of a high-protein UHT milk that reflects both evolving consumer needs and market growth potential.”
According to the press release, the milk provides a “smooth” texture and does not contain added sugar.
The product is intended to suit various groups, including individuals looking for meal replacement options, office workers seeking convenient nutrition, and those who prioritise higher protein intake in their diets.
Production is carried out on a SIG Small 24 Aseptic filling machine, which offers multiple packaging options and quick format changeovers.
This technology enables producers such as Lactasoy to introduce new product formats without investing in additional filling equipment.
Benefitt’s advertising manager and marketing co-ordinator Phanwana Mahasup commented: “Our goal with Benefitt is to make high-protein milk accessible, convenient and enjoyable for consumers across Thailand.
“The UHT format allows us to deliver high nutritional value without the need for refrigeration, and the SIG packaging gives us a solution that is easy to carry, easy to drink and suitable for nationwide distribution.”
Last month, Asahi Group Japan introduced LIKE MILK, a yeast-based beverage with characteristics similar to milk. LIKE MILK also utilises SIG’s aseptic carton technology.
