Canon USA has named Rolando Martinez as senior marketing director for production print, covering production inkjet and toner, large-format printing, and label and packaging lines.
Martinez’s appointment aims to improve coordination across product launches, sales activity, and customer support in commercial and industrial print markets.

His experience in commercial operations across the US, Canada, and Latin America is expected to support its regional structure and presence in the Americas.
Martinez has held senior global and regional posts at HP, Kornit Digital, and Eastman Kodak during his career.
He has more than 25 years of experience in B2B sales, marketing, and product strategy in the commercial, label, and packaging sectors.
Martinez will be involved in bringing its recent production inkjet products to market, including the varioPRESS iV7 B2+ digital press, the varioPRINT iX1700, the Colorado XL series, and the LabelStream LS2000 presses.

Last month, Canon USA introduced the LX-D400, a 4in full-colour label printer designed for on-demand production.
According to the company, the machine can print at speeds of up to 13 inches per second.
It uses dye-based inks and can produce labels on media such as paper, film, synthetic poly, and pre-cut die-cut labels.
