The new 175,000ft² site aims to support the company’s North American growth and will use a mix of imported inputs and materials sourced locally through existing suppliers.

Production is scheduled to begin in August 2026.

Detmold Group CEO Sascha Detmold Cox said: “As we continue to grow our global footprint, opening our own manufacturing facility in the United States is a key milestone for our business. It allows us to better support our customers with locally manufactured products and reinforces our commitment to the U.S. market where we have been supplying customers for over 20 years.

“We’re focused on building long-term partnerships and delivering the same level of service, innovation and reliability that our customers experience globally.”

South Carolina governor Henry McMaster said: “With the addition of over 50 new jobs in Spartanburg County, Detpak’s decision to open its first American manufacturing plant in the upstate is a win for South Carolina. We are proud to welcome Detpak and look forward to the company’s continued success in our state.”

Across Detpak and Detmold, the businesses sell into 45 countries and run manufacturing sites in eight.

Detmold also maintains two US sales operations, located in Los Angeles, California, and Tampa, Florida.
