Amcor has secured RecyClass Recycled Plastics Traceability Certification for certain grades of its Bontite Sustane stretch film.
The approved films include specified amounts of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content and are aimed at helping customers prepare for changes to the UK Plastics Packaging Tax (PPT) due in 2027.

Bontite is produced at Amcor facilities in Leominster, UK, and Zele, Belgium.
The blown linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) stretch wrap films are used to secure and stabilise palletised goods in transit.
The company noted that the films combine the strength of blown film with the clarity linked to cast film, and may provide holding force, puncture resistance and stretch performance depending on the specification and application.
The RecyClass certification confirms that recycled plastics used in finished products are independently audited, traceable through production and consistent with recognised European standards.
Amcor said this is relevant for UK PPT rules changing from April 2027, when pre consumer recycled content (PIR) will no longer count towards the 30% threshold and only PCR content will qualify.
The Bontite films are used by customers in beverage, manufacturing, retail and consumer goods markets, where pallet security, operational efficiency and product protection are important.
The company also said RecyClass certification has been confirmed for a range of its flexible packaging products made at UK sites in Ardeer, Bromborough and Winsford, as well as Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Poland.

Last month, Amcor obtained RecyClass Recycled Plastics Traceability Certification (EN15343) for a selection of flexible packaging made at its UK plants in Ardeer, Bromborough and Winsford.
The portfolio covers NorDiVent ventilated form-fill-seal (FFS) films used for cement, powdered construction materials, chemicals and minerals.
