Source One Packaging has brought a new OMET X6 flexographic press into operation at its facility in Hauppauge, New York, US, increasing output for printed shrink sleeves, labels, roll stock and flexible packaging.
The equipment will support work for brands and contract packers handling SKUs, with a focus on print consistency, changeover speed and turnaround times.

According to the company, the press is intended for shrink film packaging used in sectors such as food and drink, personal care, pet products and other consumer packaged goods.
Source One Packaging president Richard Perillo said: “Brands are under pressure to launch faster, manage more SKUs, and maintain consistent shelf-ready packaging.

The OMET X6 adds flexographic printing capacity and production controls at the site, with the aim of improving setup times, application range and the transition from artwork and samples to full production.
The company supplies flexible packaging products such as printed shrink sleeves and labels, laminated films, lidding films and other bespoke packaging components.
Source One provides product specialists, in-house graphics support, sizing and sampling assistance, converting services and nationwide shipping.
