Guala Closures has presented a revised version of ALUSNAP, its closure system used by premium spirits producers.
The company said the closure has been adopted for several years in the spirits sector, combining an aluminium exterior with mechanical protection.

The latest version adds further embossing and debossing options, as well as new tamper-evident elements intended to support consumer assurance and product protection.
The updated ALUSNAP keeps its existing structure while adding design and security features.
These include Guala Closures’ dual glass-ball anti-refill valve system, which aims to guard against unauthorised refilling over time.
The company said an integrated hook secures the pourer to the bottle neck, making forced removal more difficult and helping maintain the product’s integrity.
Guala Closures said the revised platform can also include an Indicator, an additional visible tamper-evident feature designed to show whether the closure has already been opened.
The pourer has been engineered to provide a steady and predictable flow, with the aim of improving pouring consistency while limiting drips and product loss.
The aluminium shell now allows a wider range of finishing options, including embossing, debossing and new surface textures.
According to the company, these features provide more scope for design variation and make imitation more technically difficult.
ALUSNAP is produced through Guala Closures’ manufacturing network, including sites in Italy, Ukraine, India and Bulgaria.

In May, Guala Closures unveiled MAGNEX, a new closure for premium spirits made using electromagnetic forming technology.
The company described its manufacturing method as using “high-velocity” magnetic pulses to shape aluminium around a mould.
