BCI said the additional capacity will enable its Houston business to handle a high volume of contract packaging and fulfilment work.

Operations at the facility include product assembly and kitting, labelling and coding, repacking and shrink wrapping, product insertion, retail display assembly, palletisation, quality-control services, and fulfilment preparation.

The services are intended for packaging assignments, new product launches, seasonal promotions, retail programmes, and production requirements.

BCI will combine the work undertaken at the facility with its corrugated packaging manufacturing, structural design, and production operations.

This brings packaging, assembly, and fulfilment activities together within the Houston operation.

The site is located near the Port of Houston, distribution centres, warehouses, and transport infrastructure.

The opening adds to BCI’s national contract packaging and fulfilment network and increases the services managed by its Houston team.

BCI Houston general manager Jess Stitzel said: “This expansion gives our Houston team the dedicated space and resources to provide customers with a more comprehensive and scalable solution.

“By bringing packaging, assembly and fulfilment capabilities together, we can help customers simplify their operations, improve consistency and move products to market more efficiently.”

Founded in 1958, BCI is a US manufacturer of corrugated packaging and retail display solutions.

The company serves food and beverage, consumer goods, retail, industrial, and building materials markets through facilities across the US.
