US-based firm Sun Chemical is presenting its new range of inks for metal packaging at the Euro CanTech 2018 event taking place until 21 March in Milan, Italy.
At the event, the company has presented UVILED, its new range of UV-LED inks for the Metal Deco market.

Sun Chemical also partnered with Italy-based UV-LED lamp supplier, PrintabLED, in order to meet the demands of the metal packaging market.
Sun Chemical global metal deco inks sales director Eduardo Alegría said: “We’re looking forward to showcasing our metal decor portfolio at Euro CanTech and to introduce our new inks to the can-making industry.
“Through our extensive product portfolio, we want to show that we are the partner of choice for ink for can-makers looking to explore the opportunities in metal decoration.”
The company will also display Uviflex, which is its range of UV flexible metal deco base inks.

By GlobalDataUviflex inks are designed to deliver improved gloss in the stretched areas of the can and have an improved chemical resistance that helps the product stand retorting in harsh conditions.
Other products to be presented by the company at Euro CanTech include SunAltec LEDCure MB series and SunDuo Comet range.
SunAltec LEDCure MB series is a set of free radical, UV-LED curable, lithographic inks designed for the external decoration of monobloc aerosol cans.
According to Sun Chemical, the lithographic inks use the latest generation of UV-LED curing technologies and deliver low film weight prints.
The SunDuo Comet range is meant for the beverage can market and offers improved mileage, gloss and printability.
