US-based flexible packaging company ePac Flexible Packaging has revealed plans to open a facility in Montreal, Canada.

ePac Montreal will serve consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands of all sizes across the province of Quebec.

The new sales and manufacturing location will be ePac’s third location in Canada, having previously opened sites in Vancouver and Toronto.

These three sites will work together to address the growth in demand for flexible packaging in the country.

ePac Canada operations managing director George Boustani said: “Since opening ePac Vancouver in 2019 and Toronto in 2021, demand for our services has grown rapidly.

“To keep pace, we’ve decided to add a new sales and production facility – ePac Montreal.

“In fact, we are now accepting orders in Quebec, and fulfilling them from our other Canadian operations until the Montreal site officially opens.”

Founded in 2016, ePac supplies short and medium run-length flexible packaging to small and medium-size brands.

The company operates 23 locations across North America, Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.

Investissement Québec International president Hubert Bolduc said: “We are pleased to support global leaders, such as ePac, who are setting up operations in our greater metropolitan area.

“This will allow them to continue their growth and develop new expertise while benefitting from our ecosystems and complete value chains.

“Based in Chicago, Québec and around the world, our teams will continue to promote the advantages of investing in Québec in order to develop a strong, competitive and sustainable economy.”

Earlier this year, ePac Flexible Packaging announced plans to develop facilities in North America’s north-east, mid-west, south-east and south-west regions over the next two years.

The company also plans to open its second location in the US’ Mountain states and increase the print and pouch making capacity of its existing operations.
