Xiamen Jihong Package & Technology (XJPT) has announced plans to form a digital advertising joint venture (JV) with an undisclosed partner in China.
Based in China, XJPT is a packaging and printing services provider. It will invest CNY27.5m ($3.99m) and hold a 55% stake in the JV.

Finland-based Valmet received a contract from Hansol Paper to supply a 5,300mm-wide (reel) off-machine coater rebuild machine.
To be delivered to Hansol Paper’s Shintanjin site in South Korea, the coater will include a new OptiCoat Layer curtain coating station, which gives optimum coverage and minimises the use of thermal coating colour in paper production.
Expected to be valued between €10m and €20m, the order will also include two calendars, a reel and coating air dryers, and a supply system for the curtain coater unit.
The machine is designed to operate at a speed of 1,500m/min and produce fine paper and thermal grades.

Ultratech, a provider of lithography, laser processing and inspection systems, has received a contract for the supply of LSA101 dual-beam laser spike anneal (LSA) systems.
The customer intends to use the anneal system to expand 10nm FinFET production.
Ultratech's LSA101 dual-beam system offers higher annealing capabilities, a low overall thermal budget, and flexibility and extendability.
The first LSA101 system shipment to the customer's facility in Asia is expected to be made in Q2 2017, while the second shipment is planned for Q3.
