Netherlands-based Clondalkin Flexible Packaging (CFP) Grootegast has designed a fresh suit of stand-up pouches for Boon Food Concepts’ new range of bean and vegetable-based ready meals.
With a shelf-life of six weeks, the new range includes curry, chilli and white bean tomato meals.

The new microwavable ready meals, which feature locally sourced beans, fresh vegetables and herbs, can be prepared in ten minutes.
The food range is also free from any additives or preservatives.
Boon Food Concepts founder Michael Luesink said: “There is a growing demand for healthy, fresh convenience food in the Netherlands and we’ve had an excellent response to the new Boon range.
“Its success is down to a combination of the product and packaging. CFP Grootegast’s stand-up pouches offered the ideal solution and they have been very supportive throughout the production process.”

By GlobalDataUnlike glass jars and aluminium cans packaging, the new stand-up pouches provide a lightweight, durable and environmentally friendly option to Boon Food Concepts.
The packaging also provides high-quality, multicolour print options and improved branding and shelf appeal.
Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Grootegastsales manager Martina Fidder said: “It is always exciting to be involved in a new product launch, particularly when it is a new concept.
“There is much less choice when it comes to ready meals in the Netherlands compared for example to the UK so it was great to be involved in the project.”
The company currently produces high-barrier lidding film for plastic cups or trays, multi-layer laminates with aluminium, microwaveable packaging for frozen snacks, stand-up pouches and printed bags.
