Global fresh food packaging manufacturer LINPAC has partnered with US-based food processing material supplier Progressive Packaging to introduce its complete tray pack solutions to meat and poultry packers and processers.

In addition, the company will be introducing its novel packaging product at the 2017 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) to be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

LINPAC North America business development manager Daniel Strickland said: “We are proud to introduce our sustainable tray packaging solutions to the North American market.

“We are seeing a trend in Europe for a move away from short shelf life foamed trays and overwrap film to longer shelf life barrier trays and lidding film, predominantly in recycled rPET. We are excited to bring these preferred recycled material options to the US marketplace.”

"We are proud to introduce our sustainable tray packaging solutions to the North American market."

The products that will be featured at the event include recyclable MAP packaging formats, which consist of lightweight plastic rPET trays produced using post-consumer super-cleaned recycled material.

Sealed with high-barrier LINtop CXO film, the LINPAC’s Rfresh Elite lid-seal tray features an adhesive sealant on its flanges, which eliminate the need for an industry-standard PE base film.
