Clariant said that the already installed new machines would provide additional capacity by the end of this month.

"We continue to expand tube and stopper production and state-of-the-art printing capabilities in Romorantin."

Installation of the printers would be completed by early next year, with full production capacity scheduled to be achieved by the second quarter of the same year.

The new machines will complement the existing tube and stopper production capabilities of the Romorantin plant and will help the company meet increasing demand for printing capabilities mainly in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors.

Clariant Healthcare Packaging sales head Philippe Depois said: "Our large range of tube and desiccant stopper offerings gives customers flexibility and choice in their package design.
