India’s SRF is set to begin production of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films at a facility in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The company will use a new 8.7m-wide high-performance Brückner line to manufacture the BOPP films.

Equipped with five layers, twin screw extrusion and a direct flake processing system, the production line will manufacture up to 6,350kg of films in an hour.
Developed by German manufacturer Brückner Maschinenbau, the line is also equipped with a TDO heat recovery solution and a newly designed sliding system to reduce the use of lubrication.
SRF had already partnered with Brückner to open a BOPP film production line at their subsidiary in Durban, South Africa.

The company currently exports packaging films to more than 60 countries worldwide.
SRF currently has around 6,300 employees, as well as 11 manufacturing plants across India, two in Thailand and two in South Africa.
It serves the textile, fluorochemical, specialty chemical, engineering plastic and packaging film sectors.
