Dunapack Packaging Division, part of the Austria-based Prinzhorn Group, has entered a deal to acquire the corrugated packaging business of Turkish company Camis Ambalaj Sanayi.
The value of the deal, signed through Mosburger on behalf of Dunapack Packaging, has not been disclosed.
Following the completion of the deal, Camis Ambalaj Sanayi’s corrugated packaging plant will be transferred to Dunapack Packaging.
Registering an annual sales volume of around 160m² or 80,000t of corrugated packaging, the business serves food, beverage, glass, fresh fruit and vegetable industry sectors.

“After the acquisition of Dentas Ambalaj in 2013 it also shows our strong commitment to this dynamic and growing market in Turkey.”

By GlobalDataWith the purchase of the Eskisehir plant, Dunapack will run four box plants in Turkey and will expand its presence in ten countries with 18 corrugated plants.
The company also aims to increase its overall sales volume to 1.8 billion m² or 900,000t of corrugated packaging in order to fulfil its strategic goal of doubling its production within the next years.

“This will allow us to deliver innovative and creative packaging solutions to an even wider range of clients in the region.”
Camis Ambalaj Sanayi is mainly involved in shelf-ready, transportation and storage packaging sector.
In February, Dunapack Packaging Division completed the acquisition of Greek packaging producer Viokyt Packaging.
