The acquisition of Inovac is expected to expand the business portfolio for the transparent packaging firm Stäger including its service and product offerings.

The firm also intends to strengthen its presence in the eastern and western European market following the deal.

Inovac’s delivers vacuum-formed packaging solutions based on plastics across the automotive, electro-technical and consumer industries.

The firm also manufactures and supplies component holders and transport trays for well-known national and international automotive suppliers.

The combined entity, Stäger Inovac Packaging, will operate from a modern production facility in Pilsen, Czech Republic.

The acquisition will offer Stäger Group the benefits of increased customer proximity in Eastern Europe, Stäger said.

The firm has also unveiled a cylindrical packaging solution hybrid tube, which is made out of different packaging materials like cardboard, plastic and metals.

Developed through a new production process, the packs will be available in different configurations and sizes.

Designs for the packaging solution can be customised to reflect on its bottom and lid through carton discs or colored component pastings. The hybrid tube can be developed with single or multiple cartons or transparent sections.

The cylindrical packs have already been adopted by confectionery and personal care brands and rae in compliance with direct food contact requirements.
