Kliklok-Woodman food packaging

Bosch Packaging Technology has signed an agreement to acquire US based Kliklok-Woodman in order to expand its business across North America, Europe and other regions.

The Decatur, Georgia based Kliklok-Woodman manufactures secondary packaging machinery and vertical form, fill, and seal machines for the food industry.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Kliklok-Woodman CEO Bill Crist said: "This is great news for our customers, especially those with growing global operations, those who value single source systems responsibility, and those who desire variety in their flexible packaging formats."

Integration of the American firm’s secondary packaging machinery is in line with Bosch’s strategy to expand its food and confectionery packaging portfolio through new ventures, market shares and entry into new segments of the food industry.

The transaction awaits approvals from antitrust authorities in the countries, Bosch said.

In February, the German company has purchased Osgood Industries that produces fill- and seal equipment, including rotary and linear machinery lines for pre-formed containers in liquid food industry.
