Parksons’ new order will require KBA to supply an eight-colour press and a seven-colour press, both with coaters.

The first machine will be delivered by the end of the year, while the second will be installed in the first quarter of 2015.

The eight-colour Rapida will be installed at the company’s plant in Pantnagar, where it will operate alongside a six-colour Rapida 105 with a coater, as well as a six-colour Rapida 106 with twin coaters.

KBA said that Rapida 106 comprises a board and film-handling kit and can be used for UV mixed operation.

The roller washing systems in the press will help in ink changes, while CleanTronic UV will increase the production capacity.

The machine also enables online monitoring and controlling of the print quality with ErgoTronic ColorDrive and ErgoTronic ACR. LogoTronic CIPLinkX helps in transferring essential preset data to the press.

The second seven-colour press will be installed at the company’s plant in Daman, where a six-colour Rapida is already operational.

Parksons Packaging functions from three sites in India, namely Daman, Rudrapur and Pune. The company primarily produces packaging for food and beverages, as well as for pharmaceutical products and the electronic industry.
