Smurfit Kappa Unveils Zidstand, a High Impact, Competitively Priced and Easy to Erect PoS

Europe’s leading paper-based packaging manufacturer Smurfit Kappa has developed the ‘Zidstand’ – a cost-effective, high impact and easy to use new point of display unit.

It is currently being used by Hayman Distillers to advertise their London Dry Gin within retailers, where it is expected to create an uplift in product sales.

The Zidstand has been created as a quality sales aid to advertise the launch of new products and services. It is designed for use within a retail environment, but is suitable for use in a variety of promotional settings, including shopping centres, exhibitions and airports. It is space efficient and can be used even in small footprint areas.

Conically shaped, Zidstand is a ‘totem’ style PoS unit. With a single board wrap-around and a simple corrugated board structure, it is easy to erect.

It is available in both single and double formats. The single size is 1.5m high and 50cm wide and makes a semi-circular shape, while the double size comprises two 1.5m high and 50cm wide pieces which together form a cone. They are available in matt or gloss finishes and can be litho, digital or high-quality flexo printed in up to six colours.

Zidstand offers a cost-effective solution over competitor products currently on the market. Because it is a one-material solution, it is competitively priced. Smurfit Kappa can also produce ‘sample’ quantities on a quick turn-around basis to demonstrate the product’s effectives to potential customers.

Compliant to retailer requirements and unlike competitor products, Zidstand is made from a 100% renewable paper source, uses no mixed materials and is 100% biodegradable and recyclable within a single waste stream.
