The weakenings have a linear course orthogonal to the thickness direction of the cover foil and are arranged in parallel rows with a spacing between them. Importantly, the material weakenings of the individual rows do not intersect with each other or with the material weakenings of adjacent rows.

In one embodiment, each row of material weakenings has a constant width along its extension direction, which is orthogonal to the spacing between rows. The constant row width is greater than the spacing between adjacent rows. The running directions of the material weakenings within a row enclose a setting angle different from 90° with the row extension direction. Additionally, the material weakenings of one row can be offset relative to the material weakenings of a parallel row.

The push-through cover foil can be made of a mono-material polymer foil or a polymer mono-foil. It can also consist of several layers made of polymer material based on the same monomer. The patent also describes a push-through pack that includes a manually deformable container component with an accommodation volume for a product. The container component has a removal aperture sealed by the push-through cover foil.
