Management Occupations drive packaging industry hiring activity
Management Occupations, with a share of 14% new job postings, was the occupation with the greatest hiring activity in the Asia-Pacific packaging industry in Q2 2024 , ahead of Office and Administrative Support Occupations with a 7% share of new job postings.
The other prominent roles included Architecture and Engineering Occupations with a 6% share in Q2 2024, Production Occupations with a 6% share and Business and Financial Operations Occupations with a 5% share of new job postings.
Top five companies accounted for 47% of hiring activity
The top five companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined 47% of the overall hiring activity in the Asia-Pacific packaging industry in Q2 2024.
Avery Dennison posted 211 jobs in Q2 2024 and registered a growth of 38% over the previous quarter, followed by Korber with 172 jobs and a 25% growth. Tetra Pak International, with 159 jobs, and Pact Group, with 111 jobs, recorded a 6% rise and a 44% rise, respectively, while Orora recorded a 30% increase with a 95 new job postings during Q2 2024.
Regional analysis of hiring in the Asia-Pacific packaging industry, Q2 2024
India held the leading share of the Asia-Pacific packaging hiring activity with a 42.67% share, a 16% increase over Q1 2024. Australia was next with 16.03%, four-percentage-point up over the previous quarter.
